Started in 1974 by Lawrence Forestiere in the family’s 200sq ft garage the company has grown to its 4000sq foot present location.
Lawrence worked for a Chicago Pneumatic & Ingersol Rand authorized repair station for 3 years before the company closed its doors in Queens, NY and relocated to New Jersey. Lawrence was offered to work with the company in New Jersey, but decided the commute to New Jersey would be too much, and hence Forestiere Power Tool was founded.
FPT is a family owned and run business. Lawrence worked side by side everyday with his dad, Vincent until his passing in 2008 at the age of 87.
